Business Development Director (MedTech)
Our client a leading and expanding digital health are currently recruiting for a Business Development Director to grow our their MedTech business across Europe. The successful candidate will have experience selling technical professional services (medical-class, software development, embedded software development, desktop/mobile applications, enterprise solutions) to Medical Device vendors across a range of markets.


  • Leading the sales process for our MedTech clients
  • Meeting sales and customer goals for the organisation
  • Creating, planning and executing key account management plans
  • Sales budgeting and planning, rigorous sales pipeline qualification, analysis and management
  • Identifying and understanding key customer requirements
  • Identifying and developing relationships with key stakeholders within target customers
  • Identifying and developing new customers based on the organisations business plan
  • Develop and manage relationships with channel partners to develop new sales channels,
  • identify new targets and drive revenues
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in selling technical professional services and associated business processes (medical-class software development, embedded software development, desktop/mobile applications, enterprise solutions) to MedTech companies
  • Deep understanding of MedTech companies including their key functions (R&D, Commercial, Clinical research, regulatory and compliance) and related decision-making processes for technical professional service engagements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • High degree of English language fluency – both oral and written
  • Proven track record of having delivered ‘break-in’ sales and year on year growth
  • Ability to quickly and accurately understand customers’ requirements
  • Strong analytical skills combined with ability to absorb and understand new complex solutions and ecosystems quickly
  • Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills – comfortable speaking to small and large audiences from a variety of functional backgrounds along with ability to generate first class customer presentations and proposals
  • Experience of leading, supporting and closing sales negotiations
  • High levels of self-motivation, persistence, self-initiative and ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, within a defined selling process
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (when health/travel restrictions allow)
