RIS / PACS Manager
RIS stands for Radiology Information System, whereas PACS is the general
Picture Archiving and Communication System. Both systems are used to handle images from diagnostics imaging (Radiography) departments in Hospitals. As these systems have not been implemented in all hospitals across the island, there will be numerous opportunities in this area. The role normally suits an IT-focussed Radiographer, as an in-depth understanding of Radiology is essential for the position.
Key Responsibilities of the RIS / PACS Manager

The RIS /PACS manager will be responsible for managing the distribution, storage and the display of diagnostic images within the diagnostic imaging department and throughout the whole hospital.

In addition, the manager is responsible for providing RIS/PACS training to radiology and hospital staff according to their respective needs.

Monitoring and improving the performance of the hospital's RIS/PACS system is a key responsibility.
Qualifications and Essential Skills

BSc or equivalent Qualification in Radiography

Minimum three years RIS/PACS experience

Excellent IT skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work on own initiative
